Hello! I'm Annie. I'm tall, quirky, sarcastic, Mormon, loud, and I'm one of a kind. My favorite hobbies include: singing in the car, dancing in the shower, play volleyball, swimming wherever I can, writing letters, and hanging with my friends. I am the 4th child out of 8 children (aka the forgotten child). I grew up in Orange County, California and I moved to Alpine, Utah when I was around the age of 16. I love going to the beach, but I'm also an avid sledder. (No I haven't learn to ski or snowboard yet) I went to Lone Peak High School for my last 2 years of high school, and I currently attend Utah Valley University. I love my job and I'm so excited for Summer to come !!
I'm a freshman in college, and I just wish I had known some things before I came to college. Just because you don't get a 4.0 doesn't mean you're not smart. You're going to take a class in college, that odds are you'll be fasting for that you pass. (Accounting is taking a toll on me) Yes, there is going to be a lot of (hot) boys, but only go for the boys that will treat YOU like a woman and respect you. Don't be scared of new opportunities, go to the party, take the new job, ask the boy on a date. This is the one stage of life where no one really cares what you do. Enjoy it. Love being single. Kiss as many boys as you want! (with moderation of course) Don't get your hopes up on the relationship you're currently in, odds are, it probably won't work out. Don't cry over spilled milk. Be kind to others. Don't let others waste your time. Be in control of yourself.
Something else I wish I had known before I got to college is, make sure you know your standards and limits. Yea we all love to stay up late and party, but is it worth it to miss your 8 am class you've been working so hard for? Know your standards with a boy. Don't let a boy push your standards, and don't you push the boys standards. Don't hang out with people that are going to change you in the wrong way. Be with people who make YOU happy. Stop listening to social media on how you should look, just make sure you love yourself!
Don't online shop. Ok, let me rephrase. Don't online shop (often). We all love to curl up in our pajamas and just spend time on our computer in our bed with music on in the background. Avoid this as much as possible. My poor debit card is learning this lesson slowly. Make sure you get a job!! Don't sit around and be lazy after school every day. You are at the peak of your life, so get a job and make some money for yourself and stop using your parents money. I've never been so happy before until I got a job.
College is one of the best times, don't let others bring you down during it. If a boy breaks your heart, stop talking to him, it's not worth it. If you don't get your dream job, keep looking. If your car breaks down, put some coolant in and go. Life is amazing, and we're in charge of seeing the beauty of it.
